3月21日，刘东源代总领事出席庆祝澳中友协塔斯马尼亚州分会成立六十周年招待会并致辞。澳中友协主席兼塔州分会主席埃弗里特、多名塔州州议员、塔州首府霍巴特市副市长夏洛克和当地侨团代表等近百人出席。

 
刘代总向澳中友协塔州分会成立六十周年表示热烈祝贺，高度评价其为促进中澳两国人民了解和友谊、塔州与福建友好省州交流及中澳关系发展等所做贡献。刘并介绍中国全国两会情况，表示中国新发展将为中澳合作带来更多新机遇，期待澳中友协及各界朋友继续促进中澳各领域友好交流合作。

 
Acting Consul General Liu Dongyuan attends the reception celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Australia China Friendship Society Tasmania

On March 21st, Acting Consul General Liu Dongyuan, attended the reception celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Australia China Friendship Society Tasmania and delivered a speech. Nearly a hundred people, including Ms Jan Everett, National and Tasmanian President of Australia China Friendship Society, several Tasmanian state MPs, Dr Zelinda Sherlock, Deputy Lord Mayor of Hobart，representatives of local Chinese community attended the event.

Acting Consul General Liu expressed warm congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Australia China Friendship Society Tasmania and spoke highly of its contribution to promoting understanding and friendship between the people of Australia and China, and to the development of Fujian-Tasmania exchanges and China Australia relations. Liu also introduced outcomes of Two sessions of China, stating that China's new development will bring more new opportunities for China Australia cooperation, looking forward to Australia China Friendship Society and friends from all walks of life continuing to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation in various fields between China and Australia.
