Alderman Louise Bloomfield

Hello everyone I’m Alderman Louise Bloomfield and I very much appreciated the graciousness of you allowing me to attend via zoom today. I don’t know if you can hear me but I actually have quite a nasty cold and I was quite concerned about spreading that around the people there today and I just didn’t think that was very fair.

So I do appreciate the opportunity to at least speak to the speech that I had prepared for you. Because I was very happy to be invited to this day’s event and I am sad to miss the education and the instruction that I feel I would have gained and learnt from attending today. So I am actually here hoping to attend as much as I can today.

As Alderman and also chairperson of Hobart City Economy Hobart City Council I did want to share with you a vision for Hobart because for the past six months in particular there has been so turmoil with the community as you have seen and more importantly with the recession being dotted up as not only are we in it budget book but will continue for a number of years. We need to pullup now and get on with things and look after everybody.

Because it’s these moments as a leader in the community I wanna give you hope, I wanna give you a vision that we can all walk together united as a community. And it’s events like these where we all come together and learn about each other that actually allows us to do that. Because this is how we build resilience by putting everyone’s combined experiences together we learn more, we gain more ground. And Tasmania is not unknown to having difficult times and we became the innovative place of Australia for that very reason. And here we are again we will do.

And thank you so much Master Wang, and so much also much president Zhiji for allowing me to participate today, it is very much appreciated. I look forwards to participating today and onwards through the future.

Thank you!
