【第十五屆學術研討會特刊（二）】南中地市委市議員托尼﹒比斯迪Tony Bisdee OAM 致辭

 
謝謝司儀，　王大師，佛教學院的各位成員，各位來賓，女士們、先生們：

感謝　王大師盛情邀請，今天上午在霍巴特出席第十五屆國際學術研討會開幕式。我大概早些時候就在想，自從您第一次提出在南中地市坎帕尼亞區茶樹路建立金剛禪學院的願景，我們的關係已經跨越了20多年。

在這段時間裡，我們建立了一種非常健康和積極的關係，我們期待延續這種關係。我只想感謝　王大師以及學院為霍巴特乃至塔州的許多組織提供了大力支援，非常感謝！

我們很高興聽聞州長最近宣佈，塔州不會強制合併議會。我們對組建新委員會可能會發生什麼感到相當懷疑和震驚，一個更大的委員會很可能不會與霍巴特乃至塔州這裡的學院擁有如此的關係、歷史、支援和活力。因此，我們很高興得知此宣告，我們將繼續作為南中地市，我們的關係將非常鞏固地繼續下去，我堅信未來會繁榮富強的發展。

Thank you Tony and Master Wang, members of the buddhist academy, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen.

Thank you Master Wang for you kind invitation here this morning to the opening of the 15th Academic Symposium here in Hobart. I was only thinking earlier our relationship now spans more than 20 years since your first vision of the Academy establishing at Tea Tree in Campania in the Southern Midlands Council.

During that time we have forged a very healthy and positive relationship and we look forward to continuing that. I just want to thank Master Wang, the academy for the great support they provide to the many organisations here not only in Hobart but in Tasmania and it is very much appreciated.

We were very pleased to hear the announcement recently by the premier that there will be no forced amalgamations the council for in Tasmania. We considerable doubts and alarm of what might happen to a new council being formed, a much larger council which most probably would not have been relationship and the history and the support and dynamism of the academy here in Hobart and Tasmania. So we are very pleased to hear the announcement that we will remain as Southern Midlands and that our relationship will continue that I'm sure will prosper in the future.

Congratulations Master Wang on your Symposium and thank you for your invitation here this morning.
