         Holy Zhi Ji Vimalakirti Ahdharma Buddha Patriarch Master WANG personally led the Sangha delegation of twelve of the World Headquarters of Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism to participate in the Australasian Buddhist Convention held in Melbourne, Australia on the 22nd to 23rd June, 2002.

         The holding of the convention has been supported by Australian government high officials and enthusiastically participated by various Buddhist sects and schools.

         The Prime Minister of Australia, Hon. John Howard sent a written speech to the Convention (separately published).  The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency Dr. Peter Hollingworth and the Minister for Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, Hon. Philip Ruddock, personally arrived at the Convention and spoke at the opening ceremony.  They highly praised the cultural contribution of Buddhism to Australia. (separately published)

         The Sangha delegation from the headquarters of Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism, led by Holy Zhi Ji Vimalakirti Ahdharma Buddha Patriarch Master WANG, was one of the largest delegations from Australian Buddhist organizations and has been valued by the Convention.  The Convenor sage of the Convention, Dr. Ranjith Hettiarachi, personally welcomed the arrival of Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism's delegation.  All Elder gurus, gurus and Holy Tantra practitioners of the delegation were invited to the rostrum.

         More than seventy Sangha and twenty five hundred Buddhists attended this Convention.  They included various schools of southern transmission Buddhism, northern transmission Buddhism, Tibetan transmission Buddhism, Han (Chinese) transmission Buddhism and Buddhist scholars.  Eminent Sangha and virtuous ones of various schools of Buddhism made exchanges.  They mutually respected and loved each other, cleared up differences, happily gathered together, exchanged views on Buddhist principles and were in a harmonious state of Dharma joy.

         All Sangha attended the opening ceremony.  According to tradition, all Sangha groups followed a guard of honour who held high the cushion signifying the holy seat of Buddha and the attendant offering the holy ceremony, circumambulated the Convention venue which signified the Dharma meeting holy altar of Sakyamuni Buddha.

         Holy Zhi Ji Vimalakirti Ahdharma Buddha Patriarch Master WANG was invited to speak to the Convention.  Holy Zhi Ji Vimalakirti Ahdharma Buddha Patriarch Master WANG delivered an impromptu congratulation, blessing, prayer and consecration to the Convention.

         During the Convention, Holy Zhi Ji Vimalakirti Ahdharma Buddha Patriarch Master WANG exchanged with many eminent Sangha, interchanged Dharma books and presents.  They were eminent Sangha who came from all over the world and included the administering Sangha of the largest internet Buddhist website BuddhaNet, Ven. Pannyavaro from New South Wales of Australia.

         Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism presented attractively printed academic publications to Sangha and Buddhists attending the Convention.  These publications included the following booklets:

          The convocation and perfect success of this Buddhist Convention demonstrates the degree of general acceptance of the development of Buddhism in the whole World and Australia. It also symbolizes another step forward of the grand worldwide Dharma dissemination of Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism.

The Convenor sage of the Convention, Dr. Ranjith Hettiarachi, personally welcomes the arrival of Holy Tantra Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism's delegation.
According to Theravada tradition, the Convention invited all Sangha of various schools of Buddhism participating in the holy assembly, to circumambulate the venue for inaugurating the Convention.
Theravada eminent Sangha lead the chanting of Buddhist scriptures in Pali.

Speakers at the Convention included Venerable Pannyavaro, the Sangha administering the Buddhanet.
