How Should Buddhism Enter Modern Society

5th February, 2000 -
Chinese New Year Day of the Year of Dragon

Non-interrupted Transmission

Experience in history has taught us that the existence and development of Buddhism have depended upon fearless dissemination of Dharma.  As appropriate to circumstances, and adapting to the time and society, Buddhism has spread its compassionate, merciful, and wise cosmic truth to various countries, societies, and people of different capacities.  It has been a religion for guiding people towards enlightenment, truth, and wisdom.  The transmission of the ideals of Buddhism is like the influence of a culture.

In this Hobart of Tasmania, in this southern hemisphere, we wish to foster Holy Tantra Esoteric Buddhism.  We wish to promote the glorious tradition of Holy Tantra Esoteric Buddhism as it had once flourished during Tang dynasty of ancient China.  We wish to benefit mankind with the non-interrupted transmission of sacred Buddhist dharma as taught by our holy patriarch the Great Holy Jewel Tripitaka Subhakarasimha.

         On behalf of Tasmanian Buddhism,
on behalf of the editors of The World of Jin-Gang-Dhyana,
on behalf of the Jin-Gang-Dhyana Institute,
on behalf of Holy Tantra Esoteric Buddhism,
as the President of the International Jin-Gang-Dhyana Incorporated, and
as the President of Jin-Gang-Dhyana WANG Xin-De Foundation,

I am deeply moved by how Australia and her people have educated us and fostered our growth.  Yet what we have contributed in return has been too little, too small.  Therefore, on behalf of all Australian followers of Holy Tantra Esoteric Buddhism, as well as all worldwide followers of Holy Tantra Esoteric Buddhism, I would like to thank all the guests and honoured guests here today, and thank the Australian government and Tasmanian government, as well as all Australians.  Once again, thank you all.

         Thank you all!
