          Elder gurus, thank you very much for the invitation to come down here today, that is the least my wife and I can do considering the great friendship and contribution that the centre has made to the Dorset region of Tasmania.

          Friendship and culture have been mentioned liberally today, and that applies very much to the business of the centre who was in Dorset region last Christmas to assist us in launching The Trail of the Tin Dragon project.  Those of you who don't know what that is, it is the celebration of the history of Chinese mining in north-east Tasmania.  At that time Elder Gurus suggested this visit may bring prosperity.  Well I assure Elder Gurus that it has, the project is now into its second phase passing the first stage, now becoming a multi-million dollar project in the north-east of Tasmania.
