As spectators were wondering what was to happen next, the dragon pearl appeared, presenting a short, yet grand performance. Finally, with the dragon having sight, he had the power to chase after the pearl, hoping to grasp it in its mouth. The parade commenced. At the head of the parade was the Hobart's restored No. 39 tram on the back of a truck. Next was our golden dragon, which was the first dragon in Hobart's history that had ever appeared in a Christmas Pageant before. The 20-metre-long dragon danced to the rhythm of the drums and cymbals with the dragon pearl just in front of the head of the dragon, almost in its possession. |
